Update on Geek Therapeutics infringement on Realms of Kymoria.

The recent known communication (email and a community post on BackerKit) from Geek Therapeutics concerning the status of the Realms of Kymoria Infringement is false.

(A copy of these messages will be shown at the end of this post.)

The case that we brought against them did not resolve the issue in any capacity and none of the court contents even vaguely imply or indicate that the infringement issue is resolved. They continue to infringe upon IP that they do not own and are creating false narratives about the reality of the situation.

What happened is that we created the lawsuit within the State of Iowa and, after a painstakingly frustrating process, it finally reached the very first step of the process where the jurisdiction was challenged. What this means is that Geek Therapeutics lacked sufficient presence in Iowa for the case to be held there. Unfortunately, the court did determine that Geek Therapeutics did not meet enough of the criteria for the case to be held in Iowa and this resulted in the court ruling in favor of the dismissal of the case.

Where we were at in the court process did not even touch on the topics that we brought forward in our case. The rulings from the judge was extremely clear and specific about how it was exclusively focusing on the matter of jurisdiction before considering anything else. However, it’s apparent that the individuals at Geek Therapeutics chose to ignore these facts and used the dismissed case to almost immediately get the Backerkit page for Realms of Kymoria reinstated by falsely claiming the infringement issues have been resolved.

Below you will find a screenshot of the communication that was sent by the judge showing what I said above to be factual and true.

I have had to engage legal support for over 18 months to try and help me with the situation with Geek Therapeutics. The excuses, omissions, and reframing of the situation needs to stop and I will be working with my lawyer to discuss our options.

If you have pledged, or know anyone who has pledged, to the Backerkit campaign then I humbly request that you help share this information and withdraw your support from that campaign.

Realms of Kymoria will be published and it will be expanded upon. Properly, by the actual creator and without any generative AI.

Thank you so much for your time and support.
